The Food Babe Way Book Review (Vani Hari)

The Food Babe Way was Vani Hari’s first book (1st edition released in 2015), to help monetize her blog Foodbabe.com. She’s known for her brilliant activism in specifically food ingredient transparency. The target audience for the book are both men and women who want to live healthier lives. It’s definitely not only aimed at women. She uses the term “Food Guys” to refer to her male audience.

Food Babe’s Background

Though Vani Hari is from USA, her parents are from India. Thus, she’s been influenced by Indian vegetarian culture, as well as Ayurvedic medicine.

Her health obsession is refreshing in this upside down world. In modern society, Big pharma cause more disease than they claim to “prevent”. Big pharma shills like Dr Fauci, and that commie shithead Tedros from the W.H.O., are health terrorists. On the other side, you’ve got the health saints like Vani Hari, David Avocado Wolfe, Dr Joseph Mercola, Gov. Ron DeSantis, Dr Judy Mikovits, and countless other banned voices.

Emergency medicine is great. For example, if you break your leg at sport practice, then the doctor fixes you up perfectly. However, general medicine is a farce. They ignore all lifestyle red flags, and instead prescribe a toxic “medication” to enrich big pharma while suppressing your symptoms. It never addresses the root cause of the disease.

Thus, by studying natural health authors, such as Food Babe (and of course my own blog), you can eliminate most medical expenses. But for this you need to become terrain theory obsessed. This is what Foodbabe teaches. Clean up your terrain (i.e. body), by removing all your toxic self-destructive dietary habits. Germ Theory is a scam to enrich big pharma, plus also the junk food companies. They want you to remain blind about the absolute direct link between what you consume and your health.

Criticisms

This article is 90% positive. But I add this small section to voice one or two concerns.

  1. Vani has a genius-level health I.Q. But her political I.Q. seems a little low, as she appears to be a Democrat. She mentions going to Obama’s convention as a Democrat politician. On the bright side, she was there for a good reason: To fight for consumers health rights.
  2. Plus, she pushes the global warming a.k.a. the man-made climate change hoax (p167). As with covid, global warming absolutely does not exist. These are leftist false narratives to give more socialist control and power to the left’s commie politicians. The trees need carbon dioxide in the exact same way that you need oxygen. Do not believe a word those socialist tyrant politicians say.
  3. If you’re not into Ayurvedic medicine, you may feel like skipping a few chapters. For example, when she claims you have to start every day with lemon water. Ayurvedic medicine definitely helps people live healthier lives, with the terrain-theory they teach. Fresh organic lemon juice in the morning sounds like a great healthy habit (think anti-oxidants, vitamin C, etc). But the ayurvedic benefits aren’t as obvious to someone not schooled in Ayurveda.

The Food Babe Way: 24 Tips Summary

This is a book filled with dense health knowledge. If you’ve read similar books before, it may feel slightly repetitive. However, I almost guarantee there’ll still be some new things to learn from Vani Hari. Below are some examples of my own learning, plus a few extra tips:

  1. Be obsessed about only eating Organic fruit, vegetables, meat, or dairy. She is so obsessed that she’ll take organic fruit along when she goes on vacation. This is inspiring commitment to organic food. Especially avoid the dirty dozen fruit and veg which are often heavily contaminated with pesticides (1). It’s not always easy to source organic ingredients. But when you do, preserve it e.g. by freezing.
  2. Strictly avoid chemical food ingredients and preservatives. To be able to do this, it’s generally better to always prepare your own food. Most regular restaurants add weird chemicals to food. Thus, rather only support health restaurants.
  3. She recommends not eating out of plastic and packaging. As this is a sign of processing, and less nutrient value. Like a true Paleo diet follower, rather eat as close as possible to nature. As an example, Sodium Benzoate is a common preservative in many food products. Combined with ascorbic acid, it creates benzene – a carcinogen.
  4. Be wary of most food oils like Canola, peanut, sunflower, safflower, cottonseed, corn, or soy. These oils are often extracted using harsh deadly chemicals like hexane. Instead, try Extra Virgin, Cold-Pressed, Olive or Coconut Oil. If a food has a complex chemical production method, that’s a red flag.
  5. Pasteurization destroys the nutritional value of milk. Our bodies will be much better off with organic raw milk. Otherwise, make your own vegan nut milk.
  6. Pre-packaged food should be in glass containers. Avoid plastic and tin cans, but at least make sure it’s BPA-free.
  7. Avoid food dyes, natural- and artificial flavours.
  8. Detox: Try Cilantro. Cruciferous vegetables. Sulphur-rich foods like onion and garlic. Or Dandelion for detoxing the liver.
  9. Start the day right with a green juice or green smoothie. Plus, drink Wheatgrass shots to boost metabolism and detox. Green juice can also help to beat coffee addiction. Drink fresh green juice. Not store-bought. As vitamins die rather quick after pressing the juice.
  10. Drink ginger tea with meals.
  11. Beware of tea bags made of PET or PLA material.
  12. Drink clean water. Thus free from Sodium-fluoride, chlorine, and other chemicals.
  13. Weight loss tips, e.g. weigh yourself before opening the fridge. Create a rule to interrupt your usual behavior. Then replace it with better behavior. Moreover, food cravings can mean nutrient deficiencies. In addition, eat half a grapefruit before your meal.
  14. Avoid harmful sweeteners such as white sugar, agave, fructose or even worse: artificial sweeteners. Instead, she gives useful suggestions like grinding up dried stevia leaves with a mortar and pestle.
  15. Eat wild-caught fish. Avoid factory farmed salmon, which is secretly dyed pink since factory farmed salmon is actually grey.
  16. Avoid fake meat. This is a trap vegetarians fall into.
  17. Eat raw more than half the time.
  18. Avoid all deep fried food. As well as fast food. These foods are usually full of MSG, which makes you over-eat.
  19. Eat fermented food, like sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha, kefir, etc. Good bacteria helps fight obesity.
  20. Incorporate hemp seeds, maca, quinoa, goji berries, sprouts, etc, in your diet (she teaches sprouting techniques on page 212).
  21. Avoid all GMO’s. These are toxic foods, banned in e.g. France, but legal in the States. Eating certified-organic eliminates GMO’s automatically.
  22. Similar to Whole Foods Market banning certain ingredients from their shelves, she also gives you a list of ingredients to ban. Great idea, as even some health shops stock foods containing sodium benzoate, aspartame, artificial flavors, etc.
  23. Only buy organic non-irradiated spices. Irradiation is solely done to extend the shelf life, but it destroys nutrients.
  24. Don’t eat late at night. Let your digestive system rest overnight. This is one of those Ayurvedic suggestions.

Bonus Content

  • There’s a lot of great recipes at the back of The Food Babe Way. However, no photos are included. She did release a photo-filled recipe book a year or so ago, which will make up for the lack of photos. Obviously, she tried to keep printing costs for the book within reasonable bounds.
  • She exposes the companies trying to suppress info about GMO’s to the public. These companies throw billions at lawmakers to try and kill off the truth.
  • The 21 day Food Babe way eating plan. Its mostly aimed at women with small appetites. Not muscular tall guys who train hard. But it can give you a basic idea what a healthy diet looks like, while incorporating the recipes she provides in the next section. So it’s still worth checking out.

Conclusion: The Food Babe Way by Vani Hari

It’s a great book. On Amazon the rating is a well-deserved 4.6/5. Apart from the positive reviews on Amazon, Vani does get a fair share of hate as well. Google her name to see some extremely dumb and toxic articles aimed at her, funded by corrupt big pharma shill writers. These large billion dollar food companies throw a lot of money at smearing anyone who dares expose their corruption. In this way, Vani Hari has also been unfairly smeared by some of the scum in the MSM. Her typical haters would be overweight, lazy, and very unhealthy, journos looking for some article clicks.

For example, I did a search and found someone bashing The Food Babe Way viciously in a blogpost. Writing lies, while trying to defend the big food industry and its mega profits. Looking up this hater’s social media, it’s a very overweight unfit person, who was sadly also diagnosed with cancer a few years ago after attacking Vani Hari. We really do not wish this fate on anyone. But meanwhile, Vani is a fit, healthy, slim happy-go-lucky woman. Thus, she lives by what she teaches.

To conclude, I strongly support Vani Hari’s food activism. And I recommend reading at least 1 of her books. Pick one of these at Amazon kindle, unless you can find it in your local bookshop. If you value your health, it’s highly unlikely you’ll regret the purchase.

The Food Babe Way Review Scores (out of 5)

Readibility: 5/5

It’s an easy to read book. English is Vani Hari’s first language. It’s been proofread. There’s no spelling or grammar errors.

Reading time: 3/5

Since it’s dense knowledge. You have to digest every chapter for a day or two after reading. This is of course positive, as it’s not some dumb fiction novel that normies read for escapism. It’s a very transformative book, if you apply the tips after reading.

Quality of the knowledge: 4.9/5

Superb natural health knowledge. She’s attained legend status in the natural health scene for good reason. Yeah she isn’t perfect, e.g. her politics is suspect.  But overall, it’s a great effort.

Price: 4.5/5

Amazon limits the price that authors can charge for these types of Kindle books, to less than $10. Thus, can’t complain about price.

Overall Rating: 5/5

The Food Babe Way is a solid sincere effort to educate the public about what’s really going on in the food business. This is at a fraction of the cost of a doctor’s appointment and prescription medicine (should you get sick from the terrible mainstream food you consume). Thus, I do recommend buying a copy of the Food Babe Way. Thumbs Up to Vani Hari.

    • I can see you accepted the Mainstream media’s brainwashing without any questioning and critical thinking. Having a degree nowadays doesn’t say much. As the covid scamdemic showed, it was often the “educated” nutcases with degrees who told us to “stay home!”. Why? because they’re communist morons. Not because there was any science behind their “straight outta the Karl Marx handbook” commie restrictions.

This is like saying a man can be a woman simply because an “educated” demon with a surgery degree, can take a scalpel and cut off a penis then drill a hole for a vagina. While ignoring the gender-specific chromosomes permanently embedded in virtually every cell of the body. Education in 2023 went back into the dark ages.

The other possibility is that you are part of the Mainstream media, thus “bought” in some way, and spreading misinformation here on my site to push your agendas.
